For coaches and consultants
For the moment they ask, "So how does this work?"
A strategy-call deck for coaches and consultants who sell on a free call: the questions to ask, how to explain your offer, how to say the price and what to say when they push back. Free, no sign-up. Then keep it beside your camera with GlideRail for Mac.
"How does this work, and what does it cost?" And your mind goes blank.
You know your offer. You have told it a hundred times. But on a free call you are also listening hard, reading their face and keeping eye contact.
That is when the offer comes out in the wrong order, the price comes out with a sorry in front of it, and "I need to think about it" ends the call. Paid sessions too: a client asks the very question you planned for, and the answer is gone.
The whole call, in order, with your answers written before it starts.
The deck gives you a section for each part of the call and for each pushback that can stall a yes. You write your answers once. On the call you glance, answer and keep listening.
What's in the deck. Seventeen short sections.
- Before the call and the open. What they wrote on the booking form, the goal for the call, and your first two lines.
- Their goal and where they are now. What they want, where they are today, what they tried, what staying stuck costs them, and who else decides.
- How you work and the price. Your offer in three short lines, then one rule for the price: say it, then stop talking.
- Five pushbacks. "I need to think about it", "I can't afford it right now", "I need to talk to my partner", "Will this work for me?" and "Can I start later?", each with what to say.
- One client story. Who they were, where they were stuck, what you did together, and what changed. Real results only.
- Next step, and if you go blank. How to ask for the yes or book the follow-up, and three moves for when your mind goes blank mid-call.
How it works on the call. Three steps.
- Fill it in. Open the deck and replace the brackets with your offer, your price and one real client story.
- Paste it into GlideRail. GlideRail offers to split it into cards, or describe the call and Smart Prep writes them, with blanks for what it doesn’t know. Open them in Cue Mode (Pro) and put the window right by your camera, so your eyes stay near the lens.
- Take the call. On an Apple Silicon Mac, Live Rail (Pro) listens for the words in your card titles and offers the matching card. One click puts it up. It never flips a card by itself.
Three doubts, answered.
- "They'll see me reading." Each card is a few short lines you glance at, not a speech you read out. You still talk to them and listen; the card only holds what you already decided to say.
- "Does it stay out of my screen share?" With Pro, yes: GlideRail's windows stay out of screen shares and recordings in Meet, Teams, Loom, OBS and QuickTime. On some Macs Zoom needs one setting first: Settings, Share Screen, Advanced, "Advanced capture with window filtering".
- "Why pay?" The deck is free, and so is GlideRail's whole editor and library, forever. Pro adds Cue Mode, Live Rail and keeping it out of your share. Try Pro free for 7 days, no card needed. After that it stays free unless you buy Pro: $19.99 a month or $99 a year.
FAQs
Do I need GlideRail to use the deck?
No. It is a plain Markdown file, so you can open it in any text editor or print it. GlideRail Pro is what turns it into cards beside your camera, kept out of your screen share.
Can I use it for paid sessions too?
Yes. Make a second note for your sessions with a heading for each part: the check-in, the questions you planned, the exercise, the homework. With Pro each heading becomes a card, and Live Rail offers it when the client says the words in its heading.
Which Macs does it run on?
GlideRail is a Mac app for macOS 14 or later. Live Rail needs an Apple Silicon Mac; on an Intel Mac you move between cards by hand.
Does Live Rail record my sessions?
No. Live Rail's listening runs on your Mac, and it saves no audio and sends none over the network. You are still the one responsible for any call-recording or consent rules where you work.
