For agency owners
For the moment they ask what it costs.
A discovery-call deck for agencies that sell on video calls: the questions to ask, how to say the price, and what to say when they push back. Free, no sign-up. Then keep it beside your camera with GlideRail for Mac.
"So what does this cost?" And your mind goes blank.
You know your prices. You know your case studies. But on the call you are also reading their face, keeping eye contact and listening for what they need.
That is when the number comes out wrong, the case study you meant to tell gets skipped, and "we need to think about it" ends the call.
The whole call, in order, with your answers written before it starts.
The deck gives you a section for each part of the call and for each pushback that can stall a call. You write your answers once. On the call you glance, answer and keep talking.
What's in the deck. Seventeen short sections.
- Before the call and the open. Their site, their offer, their words from the booking form, the goal, and your first two lines.
- Their problem, numbers and who decides. Why now, what they tried, what a new client is worth to them, who signs off and who else they are talking to.
- Budget and pricing. How to ask about budget, then two packages and one rule: say the price, then stop talking.
- Five pushbacks. "That's more than we expected", "We need to think about it", "Can you do it cheaper?", "We tried an agency before" and "How fast will we see results?", each with what to say.
- Two case studies and a guarantee. Client type, problem, what you did, the result with a number. Real, documented results only.
- Next step, and if you go blank. How to close or book the follow-up, and three moves for when your mind goes blank mid-call.
How it works on the call. Three steps.
- Fill it in. Open the deck and replace the brackets with your packages, prices and two real results.
- Paste it into GlideRail. GlideRail offers to split it into cards, or describe the call and Smart Prep writes them, with blanks for what it doesn’t know. Open them in Cue Mode (Pro) and put the window right by your camera, so your eyes stay near the lens.
- Take the call. On an Apple Silicon Mac, Live Rail (Pro) listens for the words in your card titles and offers the matching card. One click puts it up. It never flips a card by itself.
Three doubts, answered.
- "They'll see me reading." Each card is a few short lines you glance at, not a script you read out. You still talk to them; the card only holds what you already decided to say.
- "Does it stay out of my screen share?" With Pro, yes: GlideRail's windows stay out of screen shares and recordings in Meet, Teams, Loom, OBS and QuickTime. On some Macs Zoom needs one setting first: Settings, Share Screen, Advanced, "Advanced capture with window filtering".
- "Why pay?" The deck is free, and so is GlideRail's whole editor and library, forever. Pro adds Cue Mode, Live Rail and keeping it out of your share. Try Pro free for 7 days, no card needed. After that it stays free unless you buy Pro: $19.99 a month or $99 a year.
FAQs
Do I need GlideRail to use the deck?
No. It is a plain Markdown file, so you can open it in any text editor or print it. GlideRail Pro is what turns it into cards beside your camera, kept out of your screen share.
Which Macs does it run on?
GlideRail is a Mac app for macOS 14 or later. Live Rail needs an Apple Silicon Mac; on an Intel Mac you move between cards by hand.
Does Live Rail record the call?
No. Live Rail's listening runs on your Mac, and it saves no audio and sends none over the network. You are still the one responsible for any call-recording or consent rules where you work.
